Across all U21 players in Europe -

Savinho ranks:
8th for takeons completed
7th for chances created
5th for big chances created
3rd for assists

The only players he's really consistently behind are Yamal and Cherki. Similar level to Doue.

If he's not good enough for us, as a top 5 player in his age group, then it's hard to understand who is.

Goals scored?

Kids a gem, he's just turned 21 and has shown potential in abundance

For those worried about his end product he showed at Girona he can score and assist....and while not a great number 8 assists is not bad for a debut season in the Prem

Got no worries about him, he's got the world at his feet

He's probably frustrated at his end product, but still ranks 13th for most G/A for U21 players in the world and the highest out of Prem players (Minteh is 1 behind him)

Goals scored?
That's not so good.

Even then he scored 9 goals for Girona off 8.6xG but has only scored 1 for City but produced 7xG.

So he's been very unlucky, and any sort of regression to an average next year will likely see him end any of the worries here about his goalscoring.

Right now Foden is our second top scorer on 7, for example.

No worries on him but still think he lacks end product despite being a sound player in other aspects

Performance wise think he’s had a decent despite inconsistent year, the goals and assists will come. Hes only 21 and clearly a very talented player

People tend to write off a lot of the wingers we’ve brought in far too early on. Think back to Sane at the same age being branded a donkey after 6 months for example (Savinho actually has more league goal contributions than Leroy did in his first season at the club)

He has the ability and very confident he’ll show it next season and back it up with more output, especially with a dynamic midfield and hopefully a functional fullback supporting him

Once again the stats making him look a lot better than he is. You have conveniently left out the lost important category ie goals scored.

I haven't, I explained it against XG for this season and last.

Goals scored is really not the most important category for a creative winger in a team with a massively one-dimensional but lethal number 9 either. Assists and ball carrying are, which he's a leading player in for his age group.

forgot that XG nonsense. That lethal number 9 has been injured for some time now. He still scored none. The problem city have is we have accumlated a team full of non scorers. Savinho is but one more.

Potential is a word we have far too much of in our playing staff. Bobb, Doku, Erechervi,Doku, Gonzales.

We need players for today, elite attacking players that score, create and cause havoc against the very best.
We got 2 Doku 's? ;)

Yamal? :p

I'm not sure if he is a long term answer to our attacking needs and have a gut feeling that either Doku or him will be a surprise departure - not sure why I feel this and a lot depends on incomings but I really think he would tear it up in either Spain or Italy. Maybe I just pine for the days of Sane's blistering pace and finishing!

Big chance today with Kev, Marmoush and Haaland to pick out and link up with, but Akanji offering solidity behind. Think him and Doku could be very impactful.
False alarm, wrongly assumed those guys might get within 20ft of the wingers while they were being doubled up on and that Haaland wouldn't actively hide behind the far side defender for every single cross.

Lacks the acceleration that Doku has, had 2-3 good games in December and has been rubbish after that

Makes me laugh how some of you lot have faith in our wingers anymore. How mouth more evidence is needed…they are trash. Only reason they will be here next season is because the squad is more fucked in other areas.
