We are Manchester City, a team and club that now has demands to win every trophy and win every game.

We employ the very best and pay the best to achieve these objectives.

Regardless of age or experience, there are demands and requirements that have to be met.

Only academy players should be treated as project players. Any signings have an initial grace period then expectations have to met or you are out.

None of this, give him 2 or 3 years nonsense. That's how Spurs operate. Not elite level football teams.

It’s a CFG thing imo. They brought him back to a fan fare and now don’t want to make it out that you can’t make it at City if you join the club? Against cannon fodder he’s absolutely fine but in big games, especially away from home he’s a complete Fanny and goes hiding.

I don’t know how he will turn out, he has all the makings of a great player. He’s being singled out like players always have been. O’Reilly was terrible today when he came on much worse that Savihno but he gets a free pass. There’s no project players this is a phrase dreamed up on this site. He has been with us for 16 months not 2 or 3 years

O’Reilly though has plenty of credit in the bank this season, Savinho won’t get any better in England than he is now.

Not very quick,
Poor decision making,
Zero positional sense,
Inaccurate passing,
Easily out-muscled,
Poor crosser,

None of our wingers are good enough. Doku is handy as an impact sub but if we are going to persist with wingers we need proven ones who can create, cross and chip in with goals regularly.
Arsenal have Saka, Eze, Martinelli and Trossard. Dippers have Gakpo, Salah having so,d Diaz. All chip in with goals

Yeh I’d keep Doku as he can play either side but we need two top quality elite level wide players. Recruitment needs to go on a a steep upward curve now,it hasn’t been good enough since the treble.

The biggest issues to me are poor decision making (even Doku is far better) and poor finishing. He has good technique (even crossing) but always choose the worst option, that's why is ineffective.

Bobb was poor today, but at least he can combine good passes with his teammates. Savinho is one dimensional, only carry the ball try 1 vs 1 and offers nothing more.

Do you think that was the scouting notes that encouraged us to sign him? Are you saying that he has never contradicted any of your points? I see a young player who hasn’t got a settled berth in a team and hasn’t built any strong connections to other player in a team in something of a flux. Player need to understand each other, that will build and grow as the team develops. Savihno will do well at City, or he won’t but he needs the support of his team mates, management and supporters. He won’t do it on his own, same as any if them.
 
Will take him a while to see the improvements we need from him.

There's a top player there but he's young and inconsistent.
 
He is getting better for me and by the end of the season he will becoming the player pep wants! Doku though 3rd season he needs to get numbers

Sane and Sterling were criticised a lot too. In fact, many on here sadly couldn't wait for Sterling to leave.

Yep it’s always been the same with wingers all through the years I’ve watched Man City they all get stuck they either brilliant or wank!
