26 | Savinho - 2025/26

Broke in to lots of space second half and i thought “wonder how he is going to fuck this up?” And he fell over the ball with no one around him. I didn’t even laugh.
I actually bit my tongue last night at that point to stop me getting shouted at by the wife. I turned my back on the screen so perhaps I missed it, but did he do his usual of waving his arms around hoping to get a free kick?

Blade boot need to be banned and where longer studs, then maybe the slipping will stop!

I’m giving Savino this season before I make any judgment yep at moment he ain’t been great he was poor last night like many of our players! More worried about Reijjenders who is 27 an experience player and he is not demanding the ball he is passive there was a moment last night down the left picked the ball up ran down the left there was a good run by Marmoush he totally ignored him turned back went backwards the passed it to one of our defenders! That fucking ain’t good enough and why he has been benched!

He’s played well in the CL for us this season.
MOTM in Villarreal and pulled the Dortmund left back inside out a few week back.

Nobody I want to have a good game more than this lad. I think we’ve been right twats with him as fans. He’s clearly struggling for consistent form and making mistakes, and we’ve decided that we should call him shit and get on his back as our level of support for him during this tough spell for him.

The other week someone near me shouted ‘fuck off you dickhead’ at him.

This lad needs time and support. He barely speaks a word of English and he’s struggling for consistent form. Fuck the Spurs shit, it’s gone and is history, he’s a City player and the ‘once a Blue, always a Blue’ chant should be our attitude with him when he needs us to get behind him.
I made a flippant remark earlier about one section of your post, but you are dead right about avoiding the hatred.

A lot of posters have kids his age (mine are older, but I still get it) and will be looking at him from a different angle.

When it's a matter of attitude, though - not just performance - that does tend to amplify feelings. I'm not a fan of Rico Lewis, but I see him try his heart out wherever he's on the pitch, so he doesn't rile me the way Sav does.

Lewis is very limited and i'm not a fan but he tries and he hasn't posted photos on instagram of his suitcase packed hoping for a move to Spurs.

He needs to wear other boots as he's constantly slipping over.

Negligent by the coaching staff that they haven't made him change them already.

Slept on it and yep he's still atrocious. As others have said, it's not just about lack of skill, it's the lack of determination, grit, bottle, hard work and yet there's still this air of cockiness that rubs people up if you have nothing to show for it.

I'm watching him and then looking at Cole Palmer who we let go the summer before we signed Savinho and seriously questioning the clubs judgement. We've had a nightmare there.

He's not the only one either.

Pep clearly sees something in him, whether it's his pace or ability to take a man on I don't know but I've never seen a player stink the gaff out so regularly turn a corner.

He had a poor season last year, and even after playing 40-odd games for us he still flirted with Spurs for a move.

For reasons unbeknownst to anybody, we didn’t cash in and take a healthy profit, we rewarded him with a new contract he hadn’t earned, despite a bad year and the disrespect of talking to other clubs.

And instead of stepping up to justify that new deal - which he never deserved in the first place - he’s somehow managed to get even worse.

What’s even more infuriating is the complete lack of effort and the constant moaning attitude he brings into every single game.

I can’t see him ever succeeding here, and to be honest I’m not sure I want him to, I don’t like him and would rather see him gone.

I've just watched this again a few times and the question really must be why oh why does he even try to turn in that position? He still had space ahead of him with only one defender to take on before really being a problem for the defence. Yet in a game where a goal could really get us back into it, he slowed down tried to turn back to his own defence and slipped over.
