Nunes didn't go the media and say how happy he was for his United mates after playing dogshit in a cup final then go and say he'd swap a league title for a tin pot with Spurs so fuck Walker and the horse he rode in on.

Nunes stepped up last season and was scoring the goal against Villa that secured us Champions League football while that sex pest fucked off to Italy in the middle of a season he started as captain.

Never forget it.

None of what you mentioned makes their abilities comparable. Walker helped elevate this club to a world-class level and remains the best right-back we’ve ever had. Whatever you think of his off-field behaviour is a separate issue. It doesn’t take away from the impact he had on our success. And if you want to bring up the Villa goal, don’t forget the three points he threw away against United in the derby all by himself.

He has been good this season, bar the Brighton horror-show and today.
 
Wasn't even a catastrophic error, he's just really unfortunate that ever error he does make, generally ends up costing us.

Overall he was good again, vital recovery pace and really learning how to play the position, provided the assist and a good outlet down the flank. Even with yhe error he was still in contention for top 3 performers.

It's an odd one with him because he is needed in the walker role with his pace as the only defender in the back 4 with genuine pace but he has a lot to offer going forward as the only player willing to run in behind off the ball as we saw for the opener. I'd like to see us find a way of utilising that attacking asset of his more.
 
I actually think his fuck up will make him better..

Like he seemed to play with a chip on his shoulder after that and with purpose..

Also he's far from the only one at fault today. A lot of players played horrible today besides 53 mil Nunes.

Sadly the haters are gonna ignore that and just go on about Nunes. :(

Brainfart moment. Poor pass to the midfield. Followed up trying to take the ball past Calvert-Lewin inches away from the goal. Not sure what went through his mind then.

Was good going forward though.

He made 2 errors on the same play. The 1st shouldn't have cost us if he had just made a routine clearance instead or laying it up for Calvert Lewin

That price tag for Gvardial is a headshaker for me. I just don’t see his defensive qualities at all.

Nunes was great first half, shite second. It wasn’t just the error. He didn’t defend well after that either.

He has been ok this season though. Not our biggest problem. Most of the problems came on the other side today. Gvardial and O’Reilly looked shaky as fuck against that ball over the top.
 
For as much as the improvement has to be admired, he’s still not, or ever will be good enough to be the starting right back for a team chasing titles.

Get Khusanov back in the 11 for me.
