3 arrested in connection with Paul Massey's murder

The evidence is simply to convenient, its got fit up, or is it fit-bit all over it.

I would think that the watch's serial number will confirm where it was purchased, as well as where it went.
Only proves he’d once been to that position. Wasn’t worn on the night of the killing. Still not bright of him.

Thought the bit about them having to postpone the killing because he was doing a shift making ready meals was a comical, proper big time eh.

Heard a rumour that the defence is going to suggest the GMP were "involved" and have fitted these pair up with the Massey killing

Really think the police do this sort of thing nowadays, killing gangsters and fitting people up? Seems far fetched

Wouldn't put anything past them

Paul Massey's final call, a plea for help
Mr Massey’s final 999 call was read out to the jury.

It lasted 53 seconds and started with Mr Massey connecting with the ambulance service and the operator answering ‘emergency services’. Mr Massey then said “hello”.

Operator: “Do you need fire or ambulance?”

Paul Massey: “Ambulance. I have been shot.”

Operator: “Ambulance?”

Paul Massey: “*** Manchester Road Clifton. I’m outside the house.”

Operator: “Outside the address?”

Paul Massey: “*** Manchester Road. I’ve been shot.”

Operator: “OK, I will just find the address. Stay on the phone for me OK? Can you just repeat it for me in full?”

Paul Massey: “*** Manchester Road.”

Operator: “OK, what area is that in?”

Paul Massey: “Clifton.”

Operator: “In Preston?”

Paul Massey: “Manchester [He gave his post code].”

Operator: “Is it Preston?”

As this part of the transcript was being read out for the jury, some friends or family of Mr Massey tutted in the public gallery, got out of their seats and walked out of the courtroom.

He was riddled with bullets I'm sure he wasn't speaking clearly. He made like 2 other 999 calls before that, they only lasted seconds. Finding the whole case super interesting the detail investigators go to is amazing.

Seems the feud was over perceived disrespect and centred around a confrontation in the Just Around the Corner cafe

  • Paul Massey's alleged killer cracked a joke with police when shot three weeks after the murder, a court heard.

Jaime Hamilton, prosecuting, today told the jury Fellows was the victim of a shooting on August 12, 2015, three weeks after Massey's death.

Fellows, who had an entry wound at the back and an exit wound at the front of one hip, told them the weapon sounded like a 9mm gun.
Paramedic Neil McKay said Fellows' blood loss was not massive, but the patient said he was worried about a colostomy bag he used.

He said Fellows recalled hearing a bang when cycling, dropping his bike, hearing more bangs and starting to run, but having "pain in his bum".

PC Carl Blower went to Manchester Royal Infirmary and spoke with Fellows, after a scan revealed the bullet passed through his pelvis.

He said: "Because it had passed through a hole in the pelvis, we joked, we said 'that was very close'."

PC Blower said Fellows replied: "Yes, it could have been like Paul".
