3 months today

First premiership game of 2018 2019!

Start the count down folks. I hate this time of the year - having to see the Mrs more! No City and no structure to my week!

Decided I am going to really enjoy the world cup and even Wimbledon.

How does anyone else cope?
Off to my Spanish villa for the summer and I love spending time with Mrs Asia fields

After the last two titles I felt mentally drained, and in desperate need of a break. The title run-ins (obviously going down to the final day each time) felt pretty stressful, particularly on here, and I felt shattered afterwards. This time has been different, almost a procession with the title a formality for so long. Still looking forward to my holiday and some respite from all things City, but already excited about next season.

I quite enjoy the break. Holiday time and nice weather so lots of other things to do at the weekend. Plus no stress, just chilled out weekends

But by the time the season starts I'm raring to go

I have felt more exhausted this season for some reason. Firstly been to more games and that week we lost 3 games I went to all 3 worked too many hours and felt like had played in all 3 never mind watched them. I can’t even imagine how much the players must want a break.

Following city is a fantastic hobby.

It’s going to be a strange 3 months for me.

Happiness with the success of the season, looking forward to the next, hopefully, repeat title. A World Cup that might be interesting from England’s point of view - if they play with city style.

...But just as the pre-season starts winding up, Mrs JASR will be away for 3 (and possibly 4!) months. :-( she’s already missing the summer holiday we booked - yay me, with 4 teenagers...

So, I’ll apologise now for any rambling, incoherent, melancholic posts that are made between approx start of season and whenever she returns. Will anyone notice the difference? ;-)

Hurling kills the time over here on the greener, more civilised island. The two seasons dovetail quite nicely too. Mind you, my county, Limerick... the season is usually over quite early.
Gaelic football is the thing up here in Mayo. We now start our annual journey to defeat in the All Ireland in September.
