3 | Ruben Dias - 2025/26

Seemed OK to me... but I wasn't focusing on his play. Why do you think that he needs to be better?

He had two positional errors where he got bypassed, both required Stones to bail him out. Then he gave two suicide passes that resulted in a turnover from which Wolves attacked. We played well in attack but Spurs next week can easily exploit and score against us if we repeat these mistakes.

I'm just about to watch the game again. When were these incidents?

Great news! Serial winner, former PL player of the year and still only 28. Had a poor season last year but if we are being honest being a CB in last years City was more or less an impossible mission having to defend 3v2s/2v1s/2v2s 10+ times every game with the rest of the team not defending at all. Hopefully the team is better structured defensively this season and we will see Ruben get back to his best!

Keeping winners in the team is obviously important particularly as he is only 28, even if he has had a a relatively average few months

I imagine this thread will now have the usual acceptance of differing opinions that bluemoon is renowned for.

Watched the whole game back on the City website. I would recommend it to you. Apart from one iffy pass that caught Reijnders out Dias was fine.

Terrible news, he has regressed massively over the last couple of seasons .
Should have sold for 40-50 while he still had suitors
1. No pace
2. Poor in the air in both the boxes
3. Average on ball and slows down our attacks.
I seriously assume he will be losing his place over the next 2 years. Until then I don’t mind him staying. Stones + Gvardiol looks like a better pair though
