30 | Claudio Echeverri - 2025/26 (on loan at Leverkeusen)

There is no evidence of that being the case at all is there? Posters showing concern that young players are being loaned out en masse isn't them being "poor little Lambs", it just means that they are rightly questioning what the club is doing.

But that's fine if you're a thumbs out trust the process say fuck all type of Sheep isn't it?

Poor little lambs been “showing concern” since we didn’t win that fifth title in a row. Which is absolutely fine. Not everyone is cut out for the cut and thrust of competitive sport.

Nobody has mentioned that, what they mention is why are we buying young players some for £30 million and then loaning them out straight away?

Maybe they're not playing player monopoly and want to see these players before they are shipped out for profit for good?

Where i think this kid is ready for game time, it's gonna be tough getting him much this season if players stay fit. A loan with a stipulation that we can cancel and bring him back if required is probably the way. We need to see him playing regularly and in a decent team, so where he goes is important.

Liverpool have a 16 year old future star coming through and he hey will put him in the bench and give him game time but we don’t do that and we will let this kid who could be a superstar to play somewhere else and probably move on and. Become a star .

Your relentless negativity is not objective truth.
Here are the Liverpool players currently on loan.

Giorgi Mamardashvili – Valencia
Stefan Bajcetic – Las Palmas
Ben Doak – Middlesbrough
Jayden Danns – Sunderland
Lewis Koumas – Stoke
Luke Chambers – Wigan
Owen Beck – Blackburn
Kaide Gordon – Portsmouth
Calvin Ramsay – Kilmarnock
Nat Phillips – Derby
Luca Stephenson – Dundee United
Rhys Williams – Morecambe
Dominic Corness – Gillingham
Fabian Mrozek – Forest Green Rovers
James Norris – Shelbourne FC

Negative signal that we have brought him over, settled him into the squad and country, got him a loan playing at the top of Serie A at 19 and want to continue his development. Wow!
„ settled into the squad and country“ to loan him to another country again. That makes no sense. Same with Reis. They don’t get playing time and don’t accumulate to the country enough. Now Reis will speak his usual Portuguese again and get used to the Portuguese weather while Echeverri goes on speaking Spanish + Spanish weather in Barcelona or let’s say Girona.

It’s like me as an exchange student being abroad for 6 months to come back after getting used to the country and people.

Course it makes sense - they have spent 6 months within the City set up, both will benefit from more playing time at top clubs and come back with more experience and into a squad where there are spaces for them and one with a settled set up.

This year we will mix experience and youth in defence, I suspect Khusanov is the one to be brought into the regular first team initially, Stones/Ake/Akanji (whichever is left) will have left as out of contract and Reis can come back as one of the CD rotation. Makes total sense.

Same with Echeverri with Bernardo coming to the end of his contract.

Or would you prefer them to stay and have fewer games than they would by going on loan?

Hang on a minute it’s not negativity it’s what I think it happening . Why is it that if someone says somthing that is big agreed upon it’s negative ? . As did our signings I’ve praised everyone even in January but what I don’t agree with is the reluctance to give our young players a chance .

The objective truth is that Liverpool have a number of young talents on loan. You gave Liverpool as an example of a club giving young players opportunities rather than loaning them. That is not true, as proven, both by their use of the loan system and by academy talent in our first team.

that 16 yr old was bought from chelsea 12 months ago from liverpool academy they have already lost trent and quansah. id say out of all the big clubs in the prem man city bring through far more academy players and i mean proper academy players who have come through all age groups last season alone we had mcatee foden lewis o'reilly all on the pitch at the same time, can't think of any of the other big six who had that in a league match

His blatantly obvious ability, Savinhos one goal all season, Echeverri looked dangerous as fuck in the few minutes he’s been given.

Matched Savinhos goal tally in less than 90 minutes.
Echeverri has done next to nothing in senior football whereas Savinho was ripping up la liga at the age of 19. You can't compare the two.

I think it's clear that the club see Savinho as a serious talent and are banking on him to come good next season.

So Roma supposedly want an option to buy within a loan deal. No wonder we’re trying to get him elsewhere.
