Edersons assist is being glossed over a bit because we're kind of used to it now but it's worth mentioning how brilliant it was. A defender does that and it's played over and over for years.

Pep seems to be genuinely considering giving ederson a shot at penalties. I believe if we are in a penalty shootout and he's on the pitch, he's one of the 5 to take it and if he buries it then he might get regular duties.

The thing is, he's going to have to smash it into the corner so it either goes in or into the stands to remove the threat of any potential counter if he takes one and its saved and by doing that he's at greater risk of missing it.

Not sure Pep is ultimately going to decide it's worth risking all the negative attention if that happens and score against us, there's enough quality on the pitch to be able to put the ball in the net. I still believe gundogan is our best option his Liverpool miss was just one of those things

That assist reminded me of 17/18. Rare that teams press him now because they know he is capable of a pass like that
Strangely enough, the last team I remember pressing like that is spurs, when they tried to press high and all game Ederson was just pinging them behind the front 4 into the middle think it was the game Foden scored.

Where was Jim Beglin with his, "best goal I've ever seen", today?
Same goes for the other, "already a contender for goal of the season" balbag, Peter Drury.

To be honest mate it’s 100/1 chance of us conceding a goal or having a player sent off from him taking one. If he’s actually any good at them and can score consistently unlike the majority of our current takers it would be a very small risk worth taking.

Best I’ll ever see in my lifetime. I’ll be telling my grandchildren about Ederson’s passing range in 40 years time.

I had no problem with Hart. But it's stunning how much of an improvement having Ederson is. It's like having something you didn't know existed. in terms of his overall game.

He has completely changed the standard i have for keepers. There is no going back to a Joe Hart (sorry Joe).

Agreed, I doubt if he’s on penalties they’ll be much subtlety to them. They’re either going in, over or wide.

If a keeper saves it, he’s not catching it. So one of two things wilould happen. A tap in for anyone following in or a defender smashes it out of play.
The only chance of a counter comes from him hitting the post or bar.
For me, if he’s the best, then get him on them.
