Interesting article about Ederson by ex City women's keeper Karen Bardsley which analyses his numbers and also the change in team setup that has affected how he distributes the ball.

It is one of the best pieces I have read on the BBC site - Karen seems to be an intelligent woman and surely has a future in coaching or as a pundit/analyst.

Fantastic read can't believe I'm saying that for a BBC piece.
Interesting to note that stats aren't everything!
I liked her observation about how there can't be a perfect goalkeeper and maybe people (kids on twitter) think a keeper should be perfect cuz of automated keepers on FIFA lol

Neuer was close to perfect. Ederson is the next best thing.

Does it say that he’s not very good at saves but good with his feet?
 
The criticism of him has been laughable and a disgrace, he was superb tonight and has been since he arrived at the club.
 
Almost like having to make saves throughout a game gets a keeper into a certain rhythm...
