Absolutely had to be deployed down the middle to take some heat off Rodri. The one time he drifted centrally we actually scored. His legs and physicality were badly needed in the middle of the park.

Played well in midfield against Newcastle but not given the opportunity since and tonight Rico for some reason preferred.

If Nico G is fit, its simple, play Nico G with Rodri and O Reilly LB.

If Nico G isn't, then either pair Rodri with OReilly or Bernie, and let RAN play LB.

But O Reilly can go up and down in a way RAN can't and why Nunes is so good, that athletic ability.

He is getting slowly over played though and lacking energy, so playing RAN regardless may be necessary.

Needs to be in the starting lineup every match, wherever he plays.

Though it's huge season for him physically as he's never played this many minutes in his life. So hopefully won't get burnt out as he'll most certainly be going to the World Cup too.

Much more like it from him. Looked refreshed and switched on. Ait-nouri pushing him to make sure he earns his place and englands starting centre backs alongside him for club level, he couldn't ask for a better environment to go and make himself englands starting left back at the world cup.
