His finishing is what you'd expect from a left back finding himself in u familiar territory not a natural 10. One huge thing he has to work on ahead of next season is using both feet, you literally see him turtling around the ball to pass it with his left, he'll ignore openings because the angle needs a right foot pass. In a way it's good that some basic stuff is still required from him as it shows just how high his potential can be.

In fairness he's been over-played in the last 6 weeks or so and it has shown.

Looked knackered, RAN should have started and then bring Nico on for some more power in midfield later in the game

Looked knackered. Fought hard until the end and thought he was unlucky with that chance with the keeper making a good save.

Both he and O’Reilly have played far too much football this season, Silva and Haaland as well, so tiredness is understandable. It’s unsustainable and we need to manage players better, both for their own development and for our chances of success.I thought Nunes tailed off a bit towards the end of the season.

You can add Lewis, Savinho, and Reijnders to the list, too. Whomever we appoint next has to do a better job of utilising the full squad.Unfortunately pep didn’t trust any of their potential replacements. Particularly Nouri, Gonzalez and Marmoush.
Nico is a LB and will continue to be one until he’s more two footed and opts more for a pass than a carry. Every elite CM there has ever been was an elite destroyer and/or an elite passer with a high football IQ. I think Nico already has the football IQ but he just needs to gain more experience. Bit naive today at times.
