3D model of City's stadium

On a slight tangent, was in Aldi today and they had those old Airfix models in for a fiver, Focke-Wulf, Spitfire, Hurricane, Messerschmitt etc

Picked one up, looked at the back and heard my wife voice saying 'WTF have you bought one of those for ffs'

Put it back down and moved away from the middle aisle section lol

Glad others are having difficulty making it, thought it was just me ,as it says, it takes three hours or so to construct. It took me that long to figure out the distructions. My dear lady wife bought it for me as a pressie, and has has been encouraging me to persevere with making it, and spend another six months in the shed. I'm sure she has my best interests at heart.
I got one for my birthday last May but haven't been able to do it because the piece with half the base was missing. I couldn't find it anywhere.

Would love to spend hours making it but there again I think I could build my own. Plus I would fill it with blues and no away end and extend the all standing end.
:-)
Would you include the VAR screen or 'conveniently' forget it like the Rags/Dippers version? :-)

Actually had two bought for me last Christmas, which was fortunate as one of them doubled up on sheet numbered 9 ,in place of sheet 3,even so quite pleased as making one is taxing enough for me.

They're a bastard to walk up on matchday for we FOCs in CBL3. And when they shift yer to the East Stand when CBL3 closes yer end up going dizzy 'cos yer spiralling t'other way!

It's the last spiral that's the killer, cos you come round the corner convinced you're at the top and then find there's still another rotation to go....

...then after all that, it's a trip up the stairs to the back of the stand !

My son did one at least 4 years ago and gave it to me to do the cable stays from the roof to the spirals and down to the ground. It is in the top of the hall closet in the same state as when he gave it me.

Luckily he has never asked about it since.

Uh, think I will just stick to my City lego guy.

Interesting piece of merchandise. I’d smash it up after 5 minutes. Looks far too finniky
They’ll sell anything these days. Christmas before last I got City Guess Who. My favourite question was ‘does he have disco pants?’ The missus didn’t understand.
“Did he ever overturn a car and end up in a roadside ditch while three times the drink-drive limit, on his way back from cruising for ‘Scottish sluts’ in Blackpool?”
(Bobby McDonald and Peter Bodak btw)

Was thinking about starting a thread on this myself. It's a bloody nightmare. I've had it for nearly three years and still not done it. Got about three-quarters of the way through in lockdown before parking it again. Hasn't given me any joy whatsoever. Like being at the Baseball Ground when we lost 6-0.

I built one of these with my son a few years ago, before the South Stand was expanded. An enjoyable experience that was completely ruined when we realised that the tunnel was on the wrong side of the pitch. Was it just our poor modelling skills or are they all the same?

That happened to me with my Airfix model of Lord Nelson, spent hours looking for the right arm, gave up in the end.

Come on, you know the answer to that one lol. Can't you dismantle it and rebuild the right way round? Or would it be more enjoyable to pour bleach in your eyes?

Looked the old Trafford version.
Lots of bits of roof missing and a seat in the directors’ box had a weird stain on it which looked strangely like an old man with a big red nose which is apparently impossible to get rid of.

Yeah, there's an interactive one with Utd players included but loads of complaints as the midfielders just fall over and you can't get the centre halves to move!
