4-2-3-1

Honestly I think if we can sign a CM who's athletic and can move with pace going to a 4-3-3 might really suite us best. Yaya in holding rolehas it's good and bad. Good is his creativity that's needed in that spot. The bad is he rarely tracks back and we give up a lot of counters as a result. Going to a mid 3 with say Milner and Yaya further forward would get Yaya further forward so he can effect the game better and lessen our openess the other way. Might also help us against teams like Liverpool who were able to dominate possetion against us. Just a thought.

I'm not knocking nasri because there's enough threads doing that already, but I would love to see that formation next season but with a pacey winger instead of nasri.

Although we saw how certain formations work better against different teams. The 4-2-3-1 worked great against Chelsea but didnt against Aston Villa a week later.

I love this formation, gives us balance going forward and going back.

Only problem I see is as has been said Nasri isn't a winger and really suffers because of it. A large reason he hardly has an impact on most games.

He has to play central to be effective I think.

I think Mancini knows this but that's why he he has tried to sign Hazard and Sanchez In recent years.

If we get Sanchez this summer it would be fantastic.

------Aguero-----
Silva--Tevez--Sanchez

Front four all capable of interchanging positions and would be very exciting.

I love this formation, but like any formation it doesn't work against every team.

I reckon this will be 'Plan B', with Plan A being 4-3-3 (if rumours are true). I reckon this could work out.
