With all this talk of Tevez, E'too and John Terry signing...do we have the personnel at the club to play
Hughes preferred system of 4-4-2?

two wingers in petrov and Shauny...

Santa Cruz upfront with Robbie playing off him....

Barry and Ireland in the middle of the park?

Thoughts / comments?

Yea, thats why he just won the confederations cup playing second striker for brazil.....

Robbie will be floating around middle to top, much like Zola used to later on at Chelsea.

with all these big name signings, do you think robbie will have the same freedom as last year, in the sense that he (to a degree) get away without putting a shift in, as the rest of the team was there to give him that freedom to perform.

With the better quality around him, in theory he should perform at a better level, and the gameplay with him should be of a better quality.

Wrong. He was on the left mate.

settled...

If we play 4-4-2 with Robi playing as the 2nd striker it basically gives him more freedom and lets him play anywhere he wants in an attacking position (left, middle, right, deep or high; doesnt matter!) without having the pressure or expectation on him to track back and fight for the ball! whereas as a left sided player he should be fighting for the ball and tracking back to help out Bridge!

Playing Robi in this posotion/role would be a positive for the team as a whole!
