4 | Tijjani Reijnders - 2025/26

good first half but Newcastle were very compliant opposition.

His penalty claim was absurd and him and Ait-Nouri were pretty pathetic for the Elanga goal

But just as we can’t get carried away with the first half, let’s not be too down on the second half

Been saying for a fee weeks, the movement has been very good from him, we just don't use it, we used it today and he was super effective. Rest of his game still isnt close to being good enough but if we play to his strengths he can be useful.

Newcastle couldn't have provided a better stage for him to perform mind. Was like when we play with a stupidly high line with an oil tanker of a back 4 against pace merchants and then act surprised when they suddenly look like world beaters.

Him and Ait Nouri have the same issue they are bottleless. That’s the issue not their ability. Pair of them shit out of everything

He won’t get to play against a team where they play a back three who sit deep, but push on their wing backs and midfield and leave swathes of empty space between the lines, every week.

But he was much better tonight.

Should have had two goals.

Works great in a False 9 formation as the number 8.

2 DM's, number 8 and a false 9 with put us 4v3 or 4v2 in there most of the time.
