4 | Tijjani Reijnders - 2025/26

When I first saw him play for Holland I thought he was a great player. Nothing since has changed that impression. Wow! What a player. He has got everything and we are privileged to have him. His infectious smile and his play radiate a bright future. It's early days for sure but who is to say he won't be revered like other midfield greats like Colin, Yaya, David and Kevin.
 
Lovely to see someone happy to drive into the space and carry the ball. Great footwork and a lovely pass to Rico for the first. Excellent pace and desire to get past Bobb and a beautiful finish for the second and then a lovely touch and drive forwards and such great awareness to pull it back for Haaland. A brilliant signing by the club this. If and when Rodri is back to his best, that's going to be some partnership.

Like I was saying all week, to those who had him in a midfield two, he'll play as the 10 and not as a 6 or 8 because that running with and without the ball is too vital to have him deeper where he has more structural responsibilities.
 
Wow. What a debut. If we can get Bobb, Foden, Rodri and him all for and firing, we can win the league.
 
Did they mention he only cost £46 mill?!I never heard it anyway.It just wouldn’t suit the narrative would it?!Lets’s just call it a controlled experiment between us,…first time they put his transfer fee before his name,during a commentary!?Not happening ever,is it?
 
I don’t see Gundo getting any game time once Kovacic is back. Kova should be his actual backup
 
As I said in the match thread, you can watch him for half an hour and there's no question marks about his level.

He's brilliant. Proper footballer.

Forgot best mid in the league, has the potential to be the best mid ITW this season
The sky is the limit, we have to continue to give him that platform & freedom
 
Just a wonderful wonderful footballer. Feels like we've replaced a declining immobile KDB with an extremely mobile player close to peak Kev quality

Johann cruyff was before my time but from the games I've seen of him he looks similar. Just such a fluid footballer. Doesn't stop moving and his movement is exceptional. Touch is exceptional, can beat a man, finish and has things like that chip for the first in his locker. Pure class. Just a joy to watch. And a great guy. Game on
