4 | Tijjani Reijnders - 2025/26

I’m Dutch and follow Reijnders for a long time already. He’s becoming better and better every season. While being send to RKC 5 years when playing at AZ, nobody would thought he make it this far.

To me he’s a very complete player. I’ve never seen anyone with more condition than him. Countless times he runs during a match from 16 till 16 at full speed with ease. Unbelievable! Besides that he got light feets to lose his marker and can play both possession game and give through balls. Even scoring is there with also power in his shots

Sometimes tho he gets caught of guard by players suddenly surrounding him and then take the ball. Needs to expect that he can always get in this situation at any time. Thats his biggest asset he needs to improve. It goes well a lot but at City this has to be 100%. He can also give more long balls to the other side. Defensively as a 8 it’s important for him to scan the positions of opponents because he’s all over the place. But all can be fixed. I hope he will do well because its nice happy guy

Him and rodri look a perfect match. His movement is exceptional - constantly finding space slipping behind players and then with runs in behind. Superb touch. Good in tight places. Creates goals. A real class act

Rodri and Fabian ruiz bossed the midfield for spain in the euros and I remember wishing we had rabian ruiz, but the early and ominous signs for everyone else is that rodri and reijnders are going to be quite special

The fact he slots into number 6 as well, as lets face it Rodri will be subbed a lot over the season, especially when games are won is a real asset.

Definitely needed a player like this last season.

Makes me want to swap out our CBs for guys you can see the runs. TjjjR was making lots to runs as we're many others and yet our 2 CBs can't see them or are not confident enough to make the long passes.

Quality on the ball and makes intelligent runs forward at every opportunity. He and Rodri together is borderline unfair, especially when they get used to one another’s intricacies and swapping positions. Will be a nightmare for other midfields to try and mark!

Watching him closely last night, I just thought wow, we have some player on our hands here, having not seen him for AC Milan.
