He will play him even more in the position now he knows he struggles in it . Sometimes just wish we could go back to 442 and play our strongest players in the right positions .

Pep likes to tinker. You may be right that Pep plays Reijnders at 6, but I really hope not. Reijnders is a world box-to-box midfielder and is so-so at 6. Meanwhile we have Rodri (maybe) and Gonzalez to fill the #6.

And I disagree.

It's a corner kick. We're trying to score. There is cover behind him (LOL - Ait-Nouri fucked this up), so do your best to score, assist or head the ball into a dangerous area for the opposition.

Yeah - Reijinder's header didn't come off - and yeah - it was a bit dangerous. But these things happen. I don't fault Reijinders at all for this sequence.

I didn't gasp "oh no" when Reijinders headed the ball - instead I yelled "oh fuck!" when Ait-Nouri failed to read the situation as last man - ball watching - and the attacker sprinted past him.

Nah Chelsea Lampard 2.0.. he’s more direct than Gundo, maybe slightly under him technically on the ball retention side of things, but a far better finisher who makes double the amounts of those late runs per 90 mins.. so Lampard is who he reminds me of.

Gundo was our top scorer in 20/21 with 17 goals. Very much hope Tijji is a far better finisher.

He's a better dribbler than Gundo, would be great if he is as good at reading and controlling the game.
 
Play him as a goal scoring 8 like Prime Gundogan, hopefully not as a 6.

Those goal scoring instincts are invaluable since none of our wingers have it.
