4 | Tijjani Reijnders - 2025/26

I think Reijnders and Cherki are about to experience the culture shock Haaland did, of what happens when you play for a team that is possibly the least direct in Europe

Part of De Bruyne's majesty (in his pomp) was that he had a sixth sense of when to pick those moments to be direct and when to keep things ticking. Yeah, he got things wrong, but it rarely felt like he was forcing the issue

That's the challenge for Reijnders (and Cherki)

The midfield today was non existent, was a good wake up call to tackle and move the ball quicker.

He had a bad game, but of all our signings (winter and summer), he's the last one I'm worried about. He's already proven his quality in big matches. This is only his first home game with his new club, so it could happen.

He's a sure thing, like Rodri and Haaland. I'm not worried about them at all.

Bit of a rude awakening.
No concerns about him at all. But he needs to be playing higher up the pitch, with cover behind him.

Later on in the game there was a passage of play where spurs broke down their right and both Stones and Rodri were covering for the absent Lewis, Tijjani is never going to have the luxury of cover when shit like that is going on.

I think one thing everyone can agree on is that our current set-up - as far as we actually have one - is utter wank.
The hope is that Pep might have one of his lightbulb moments - e.g. Mendy out, Delph at left back going into midfield. Or four centre halves, Stones going into midfield. Decisions that utterly transformed us, positively. Needs to happen quickly though.

Invisible the whole game, looks like a good ball carrier, but the passing range is limited. We had no control over the midfield in the second half. Rodri was the one who was playing more expansive passing

Nope no them are

Why the fuck was he so deep despite us having Rodri and Bernie ? made no sense at all and he had zero impact, did better when he was pushed forward but it was too late.

Same reason why ait Nouri has turned into an inside fullback. Absolutely no reason for
