4 | Tijjani Reijnders - 2025/26

Sooner he realises he’s still not in Seria a the better
Agree last two games looked lost but on Sunday at the end he started to run at them . Until pep gives them all more freedom we will see this I mean look at jack we shackled him every game and now he’s thriving .

never heard of him before the transfer. Xavi Simmons is more highly rated than him. We have signed him on the basis of 1 good season
He had 3 good seasons not 1. you should look over at other leagues instead of just the PL. maybe we are the problem when so many good players lose their quality the moment they join us

Needs time to adjust but the signs are there. I’d like to see him play further up in infront of two holding midfielders. I think he could get at least 10+ goals from that position.
I think that's his best position, but it means only one of Foden, Cherki, Bobb and savinho can play at RW. If he can't play box to box 8/ gundo regen, not sure why city bought him

Saw enough in the CWC and Wolves game to know he’ll be a success here. Couple of underwhelming performances won’t change that.

I’d really like to see Pep just build a team to be solid at this point. We ain’t good enough currently to be too expansive/attacking and try to recreate past teams. Rodri is obviously a shoe in when fit, but id like to see Nico G along side him. He had some great stats ball winning/challenges wise in the first couple of games and think a midfield of him, Rodri and Reijnders could be a solid midfield to work with.

One thing I’ve noticed heavily in the first few games is that TR isn’t great in 50/50 duels. Seems to come out second best most of the time. Give him a solid base behind and let him roam. Don’t think him in a 2 or him with Bernie in a 3 will cut it at the minute. Most teams are too physical and athletic in there and with the change of keeper and more than likely going more direct, second balls and winning 50/50s will be more important than ever for us this year

Struggling with the intensity of the Premier League. I think it says a lot I'm seeing a lot of people realising we miss Kovacic, because his supposed upgrade hasn't been up to his standard.

Very early days though, it's a lot easier to put on a bit of size and become a bit more aggressive than it is to become a good football player, and I'm pretty confident Tijani is a very good football player.

The problem is that us building a team purely to be solid sees us leave out all of our new signings bar Donnarumma. So we’d either be saying the new signings aren’t good enough, or we’d be saying they are good enough but just not for the way we want to play. Either way it’s poor recruitment and the reason we are falling further and further behind.

He can't because the defence has no pace and no right back.

In years to come, he will be considered the best player we bought this year.

I'm not against that, but Donnarumma is a more established player, Cherki is 5 years younger, Nico G is 4 years younger (at that age Reijnders wasn't impressing in Eredivisie), Marmoush is good too, too early to tell about Khusanov.

I like Reijnders and hope he'll be as good for us as you expect him to be.

Donna will do fine, but won’t have the impact that a box to box midfielder could in this team.

Cherki will move back to Europe in a few years.

Nico G will be a decent player, but he’s not Tier 1 material.

Marmoush will score his share but doesn’t strike me (pardon the pun!) as the guy to light the blue touch paper.

Khusanov can be a top defender, but real team impact is felt further forward.
