Nope he's done here.
Other than keeping the ball better under pressure ( which is a big quality) he is a lot like Gundogan.
Folks forget now that all these same claims they make about TR were equally made about Gundogan. And this was before Gundo morphed into a big game scorer.
He is early stage Gundogan with goals and a little less control. Whether he stays depends on what Maresca wants. Maresca is old school Pep ruthless about the players he wants.

Bloody hell Gundogan at least was happy to receive the ball or go looking for it, and hardly ever wasted a pass. Reijnders does his upmost to find a hiding place and stay anonymous.
I think I agree with Dax777 here...
In his early seasons, I hated Gundogan for his inability to go head-2-head in physical battles.
He played very soft football and was always vulnerability under pressure as he was trying to save himself or had some mental problems after injury, I don't know.
That's why for like first 3-4 seasons under Pep, Gundogan was more of a substitute player.

KDB got injured and it was Fernandinho Silva Bernardo
Then it was Rodri KDB Silva at the beginning of 19/20
After 2020, he started to become a player of starting lineup.
So he was bought in 2016 and breakthrough happened in 2020, that's like 4 years.

Instead of selling Jack sell him and gain a homegrown far better stats all-round
Go back to the threads about Gundos first 2 -3 years. Everything you are accusing TR of, was similarly said about Gundo.
No fight, soft, doesn't do anything except pass back. Gundi was hated by many here before he became Mr. Whippley.
Of course TR is happy to receive the ball. How do you reckon he gets so many chances?
He is a better version of early Gundogan. Coz he is already scoring goals. Gundo wasn't. Granted, defensive position wise, Gundogan is light years ahead of him... Albeit, many here failed to recognize that too...
I get it, there is a softness about him. Easily dispossessed sometimes, and hardly puts in a tough tackle. He comes across as soft. And sometimes not up for the intensity of the league...
But he has a great touch on his pass. Moves incredibly well without the ball and arrives in the right spot often. So long as we are playing progressive football.
He gets lost sometimes when we revert to sluggish sideway passes with the ball predominantly being with the Center backs. That's not his game.
Frankly, its not Erling's, Doku's, Semenyo's, Omar, Savio, or Phil's either. All these players are better on a quick strike team. This oa qhy we are significantly better offensively when Kova plays. Coz he plays mid with that urgency...
Rodri, Bernie, Nico G, and Cherki are mores suitable for the slow down intricate passing game.
Unfortunately, unlike Doku, Haaland and Semenyo who can at least manage in a sluggish ball development team to some extent, TR struggles more than normal.
Im not sure Maresca is favorable to his style. But you never know. Maresca has a tendency to adapt. Maybe he'd be much more of a quick strike proponent.
Grealish never played midfield role and never was good at it.
He played his best football in treble season as a LW, but Doku this season played that role even better.
What was Grealish's contribution: Receive the ball, keep it under pressure and move forward.
Doku did same this year and even better. In most cases Jack was just receiving it, keeping and passing it back or to the side.
Doku was receiving it, keeping and going head to head with defending fullback or winger or both of them and moving forward.
In terms of end result Doku was significantly better than even prime Grealish.
In his best season Grealish had 5 goals and 11 assists.
This season Doku had 8 goals and 14 assists.
We can keep Grealish as Doku's cover but I don't think he will agree on that.
As for the midfield role, Pep has tried him several times but it never worked.
There is difference between sticking to the line and with your body protecting the ball and playing in open area and having ability to protect the ball anyway. Whenever Pep tried Jack there, he was always loosing the ball and was unable to adapt to it, as he always, even in Aston Villa was a wing player. You can rewatch final we played against Villa in 2020 for reference.
Tijani is more suitable for that LAM position...
But if Jack agrees and considering Doku's injuries, we could use him as a cover and it will benefit us a lot.

Not really.
Joined us in 2019.
Jan 2023 when he had his " rift " with Pep.
2 loans , Barcelona and Munich, didn't resolve the issue.
I'm not disputing he is an abrasive character but he has been successful on the pitch.
8 in 10 then.

I don't think he'll ever be a Gundo.
He's got more KDB traits of the long shot or pass and the speed to beat anyone with the ball.
Thing is he's nowhere as accurate as KDB in his prime.
Not sure what your point is.
I think he has been a good footballer.
I agree with you there. Massive talent. Kind of broke my heart when he didn’t settle in and get along with Pep. Guess I’m still bitter.

He is not as good as Gundog prior to the injury. that first season for Gundo was a battle against injury recovery.
Reijenders turned up fit top goal scorer at AC and has been fucking bobbins.
