40,000 Iraqis stranded on Sinjar mountain

can't see how this can be won from air strikes alone, once isis have rounded up a few hundred woman and kids and planted them in among themselves it will be impossible for the US to strike targets without killing innocents, i think this will end up a massive ground war
There will have to be a ground war but it doesn't need to be US troops. If all the heavy artillery is destroyed from the air the Iraqi forces(as disparate as they are) should have superiority quite quickly.

Burying people alive now, who won't convert to Islam.
U.S. spy agencies have begun to see groups of fighters abandoning al-Qaeda affiliates in Yemen and Africa to join the rival Islamist organization that has seized territory in Iraq and Syria and been targeted in American airstrikes, U.S. officials said.
Genocide on a huge scale
I read that first line as a question because of the comma, thought you were being very tongue in cheek.

Just seen on the news that some Yazidis are escaping to Syria. Things must be bad if Syria is seen as a safe haven.

eyewitness reporter says the numbers are in the thousands and not tens of thousands.
Hope it is just in the thousands and that they all get off safe and sound

Should have left saddam alone. By the way did the yank/british scum leaders ever find the weapons of mass destruction? DID THEY FUCK.

Sure. Guilty of mass genocide. 2 words, "head" and "wobble"

<a class="postlink" href="http://history1900s.about.com/od/saddamhussein/a/husseincrimes.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://history1900s.about.com/od/saddam ... crimes.htm</a>

Now now...Saddam's mass murder was not publicized by the media so its ok. Do you know nothing...
