Great finish today. He is not a typical Pep player and often it shows but I think he is the type of guy who will work hard to improve.
If he can keep his goal output but improve in other areas he will be awesome.

Chelsea didn’t mind him being 1 v 1 down the right. And I can see why, he’s not great at taking on his man.

Compare that to how they treated Doku.

The goal was amazing but he wasn’t great today overall.

He was terrific and had Cucurella on a toast. He was the best attacking player by some margin.

Thought Semenyo still did okay there, Cucarella certainly didn't find it easy.

One thing I thought was after about half an hour switch the wingers - see if Palmer carries on doubling up or if the other wide midfielder does the same on Doku instead. Although I suppose if that didnt work it'd mean Palmer had less defensive work to do, so maybe would have been a mistake.

He works his arse off and has the right mentality. Too many of our wingers and backup strikers over the years have had their confidence knocked too easily. Every successful squad needs those players that have unshakable self belief and Semenyo is one of those. Doesn't matter if he scuffs three shots in a row because he will keep making those runs and he'll keep backing himself to score.

He's going to annoy some people because he is anything but polished but I love these relentless types of players.

Been impactful in both finals. Kept Cucarella on the back foot and once he had him on the yellow was hoping he’d drive at him more but he did enough. Final ball/ shots were not great until that one was !! Brilliant finish and hopefully will see it played often. Worked hard and a real physical presence.
