Everyone on the forum was screaming for Khusanov to come on. Pep really messed it up. I understand trusting the experienced, successful players, but what has Rico Lewis ever done to warrant this trust.

The way that we have been defending, it just makes more sense that he plays right back with Stones and Dias in the middle (where possible). Stones pushes into midfield when we have the ball and Khusanov just tucks in, he seems to have the pace to handle it.

Bearing in mind no centre back at the club seems to be able to complete two straight games nowadays. It might be advantageous to get this lad in at right cb or RB and Gvardiol at LB for every possible game.

Khusanov will need at least one full season under his belt before reaching the level of our experienced defenders. A lot of fans seem to underrate experience. It's hugely important. Even Rodri, who was 2-3 years older than Khusanov, needed time to get Pep's football.

He showed his speed at Leyton Orient on a couple of occasions, seeing it close up he was definitely rapid.

Use him. We're fucked for injuries and can't afford to overplay players like Stones, Ake and Dias given how bad their records are. They need a break with the games coming up.

I'd be amazed if he wasn't used tomorrow.

This is what our fans don’t realise with Khusanov and Reis.

They are young and inexperienced and joined the worst iteration of City for quite some years. The back line is constantly exposed, we can’t defend and we have no protection from the midfield

The pile on if they fuck up just isn’t ideal and I . Ride out the next 3 games and I think we’ll see much more of them after that.
