Noticed that myself from the first whistle, disgusting really to a young lad, but not surprised and glad he's got some fight in him.

Nights like tonight will likely he the making of him.
 
I really don't think he did anything wrong tonight and cam hold his head up.

Better full back have had their blood twisted by Vinicius and he coped quite well.

Cult hero in the making.
 
In the match thread, players either seem to be absolutely gash or Jesus. It's ok to be ok.

I thought Khusanov was the only player who i noticed actually did something good.
I didn't see any other of our players do anything of merit at all.

Regardless of his performance (i thought it good all things considered) I wish the rest of the team had his engine and spirit.
 
I thought he was alright, but I also think if Lewis had that performance, the narrative would be quite different.
 
I think he had a shaky first fifteen or so but then grew into the game and did a good job.

He's arguably never played against players of this quality or at this standard.

He'll be a very good player in the future IMO.
 
Pep should have put him in the middle. We got cooked for pace on numerous occasions on route 1.

Peps positional fuckery is maddening at times.
 
Our best player by a distance tonight, Vinicius got very little change out of him. Would have thought he was George Weah’s cousin the way the commentators were going on, pity they conveniently ignored three or four excellent challenges either side of HT.
 
He struggled in the beginning but overall a solid performance under extremely difficult circumstances.

But I hope we don’t intend to play him at right back next season.
 
I haven't read any comments but I have to say I am so proud of this kid. I honestly believe he will be one of the best defenders for our club. It was a difficult start tonight, but as the game went on you could see him adapting to a position that he wasn't comfortable in. What impressed me most was his calmness on the ball. Most of all was in that 2nd half he beat Vinicius in a straight race.
