He really is. Against Chelsea I didnt see the fuss about his speed but the games since, holy shit!

Yeah, he actually looked slow against Chelsea which shows you what nerves can do.

Non-Pep CB? He is quite good on the ball. Not Stones or Gvardiol level, but he is still very young

He absolutely deserves a permanent spot in the starting XI—only resting when necessary. Every important match should be his for the taking. He’s a machine, a beast, and without a doubt, our best pure defender. When it comes to shutting down opponents, no one does it better. I am super happy about him being a CITY player.

Exciting signing, his performances in this situation of a poor side, non communication and the pressure of a young lad coming into a new league have been superb.

This lad is absolutely the posterboy for the argument of why Pep should trust youth more. 20 years old, hadn't kicked a ball in England before, in 2 and a half games he's looked better and done better than most if not all of our defenders so far this season.

The reason (other than he's obviously a cracking footballer) is his desire, drive, determination.....all the fucking D's....he's not 'been there and done it' and he's got points to prove, I love him already. Hopefully we build the new defence around him....and hopefully, it can defend.

I think it's because none of the centre backs are actually fit, but they're all forced to play and keep getting these recurring injuries. It's been a vicious cycle all season.

I was a little disappointed how far off Szobozlai he was for the 2nd goal - felt he could have closed him down to block rather than stay where he was. A minor quibble really, he didn't cause the goal by any means.

However, his all-round performance was actually bloody good. I wasn't sure we were signing someone close to being ready, but we have and he is. Also pleased with how comfortable he was on the ball on the right - not a natural in that position perhaps, but he wasn't in any difficulty. A very positive display.

Very impressed. The gaffs v Chelsea could easily have seen him go down the Jonathan Woodgate route in terms of his career with us. It’s like it didn’t happen and that takes big fuck off balls to forget that and then put in the performances he is putting in.

Having said that I shouldn’t really be surprised, because someone with the look of a stone cold, soulless killer can cope with anything. He will be colossal for us for the next ten years.
