Maybe he has some ethnic Korean parent, grandparent or ancestor. A lot of people in those central Asian/ex soviet counties do. The boxers Bivol and Golovkin were born in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan respectively and both have mothers of Korean descent, very common in those countries, Uzbekistan too. I have Uzbek friends that are of Korean descent.

There's a clip of him arguing with Scott Carson about "two touch or three touch" in training, so he understands more than absolute zero.

Or he didn't understand anything Son was saying and was just going off tone and body language. It's not like they had a long talk.
