I'd rather use this season to teach Khusanov & Reis how to be our core CB's going forward rather than risk losing them because they don't get enough playtime.

We need another Pep "John Stones has more balls than anyone here" with the new guys.. where we back the next generation.

That's where Khusanov always been strong, he will battle for the ball where many would have given it up. I've been dying for him to get a chance, I honestly believe he'll prove to be one of the best defensive signings we've ever made and I think he'll make a big difference to the amount of goals we're shipping. Just unfortunate it has to be Gvardiol that's out just as he was showing decent form.

We are not shipping many goals - two in the last six league games. If kept up across a full season that that would be 13 conceded.

I want Khusanov to do well but the defence was doing brilliantly in recent games so I think your point is just not true.

He was playing really well before being injured v Arse. Going off cost us the 3 points.
I think he will be fantastic for us. Strong and a great burst of speed. His ball playing, distribution will improve greatly with time under Pep. Rash challenges will be ironed out too.
With Rodri in front of him it will help greatly.
Defenders make errors, it happens to the best of them. As long as we give him some leeway I am convinced he’ll be a gem for us. Sooner than you think.
