45 | Abdukodir Khusanov - 2025/26

How is it possible that this thread has 21 pages and the season hasn't started yet?

Clearly showing his supreme qualities.

So fast and decisive, and his passing is actually alot better than people made it out to be.

And with Stones back, for however little it is, his quality is and always has been quality.

Add in Dias, Gvardiol and Ake.

Akanji is the weak link now.

Well I'm glad he at least got the chance to play in pre season game, will we see him play in our first competitive games ? I doubt that.

I agree, but feel he has cemented a squad place with that performance. Pep is surely more confident in him now.

Why exactly would he be confident in him after a friendly against a Serie B side ? he's had similar good performances against Premier League sides when he came in and that wasn't enough to gain his confidence.

Probably projection and hope on my part, but we got a chance to see a direct comparison between halves, and it was a stark contrast in recovery/protection from the 1st half to the 2nd half with no loss of passing accuracy (to my eyes I admit its an eye test).

Walker has always given us the recovery protection with his pace and its an asset we sorely missed. This lad has it in spades. It walker mark 2 but hopefully without the brain farts.
