45 | Abdukodir Khusanov - 2025/26

Saw him in his M3 at the lights by the Aldi on great ancoats street this afternoon, fair play to him coming to work after matchday.

This pace and skill should be used, we need him to play RCB, natural replacement for Walker...

-------------------Donnarumma----------------------------
----Khusanov--------Ruben-----------Gvardiol-----------
---------------Stones----------Rodri-------------------------
---------------Foden-----------Reijnders--------------------
Bobb-----------------Haaland----------------------Rodrygo

You can't wish for the better starting 11 :D

If he doesn't get a start in the next few weeks he probably never will, it must be infuriating to watch slow tractors try to play that stupid high line when you have that speed and don't get a chance.

Yes I know he's probably not good enough on the ball yet but you can partner him with someone who is like Stones and you can have some balance.

We are crying out for pace at the back and this lad still doesn't make an appearance.

If Pep thought Rico or Dias was worthy of being kept for anything longer than 45 mins after today's performance, it really makes you wonder why we bought Khusanov.

AK's pace was desperately needed.

Is he any worse than Dias on the ball?

While I hope he plays more, I really don't feel like we were getting torn apart defensively by pace repeatedly

While we conceded due to individual errors, I didn't feel like the defence was too bad. The real issue was our buildup play, and someone like Gvardiol, not Khusanov, is a better solution to that issue

The people clamouring for Khusanov to start every week at RB will be demanding Pep drops him as soon as he turns in a couple of bad performances, which he's likely to because he's a kid - that's if the treatment of Rico Lewis is anything to go by.

Khusanov is better than Dias with the ball, not because he's more technical, more skilled, or has better vision. No, it's simply because he doesn't think he's Beckenbauer. He's aware of what he can do and what he can't. He's old-school; he plays simply and doesn't attempt complicated things.

When Dias tries to advance slowly towards the opponent with the ball, and at the last second, when the passing angle narrows, he makes a poor pass to Ake or Ait Nouri and embarrasses them, then backpedals. Khusanov makes a simple pass. He doesn't attempt things he's not capable of. That's why he's better. I've seen about twenty of his matches with Lens, when his team was creating a sensation in the French Ligue 1 and the Champions League.

Let's give him 5 matches in a row, and we'll see if he doesn't win everyone over.

No not at RB, at CB.
