Love Stones but I think we need the pace of Khusanov and Gvardiol if we’re playing this high line.

He was good. Not perfect, but did well enough in the high line to show he should play more often.

Must have been injured for Pep to bring him off at that stage surely, so hopefully nothing too bad. He needs to get a run of games.

I think that’s the right call.

He’s a defender
He’s big
He’s strong
He’s fast.

All the thing Nunes and Rico aren’t. Once Gvardiol is back I can see Khusanov at right back with 3 of Stones/Dias/Ake/ Gvardiol and Ait Nouri taking the other back four spots. Stones can also play right back.

Whatever we do we need to ditch the Nunes/Lewis experiment. It isn’t working.
