45 | Abdukodir Khusanov - 2025/26

Frightening pace and physically intimidating, but I can’t remember a signing in recent years who is quite so technically limited. It’s going to be fascinating to see how he develops, back three?, because his natural game is in the middle. At one point today he was actually covering the left.

Walker physicality with a much better sense of anticipation. Always going 100% into every challenge, PL forwards are going to fear him

Mate he's just not very good on the ball but neither was Walker, don't think Kyle was shitting his pants when he played for us in his prime, Khus is also very young and lacks experience but it'll come.
Khusanov is 21 doesn’t speak the language got dropped despite being the best player on the pitch so yes it’s a difference.

Not the best with the ball at his feet but by fuck he’s a great defender, just what we need fast, aggressive and not afraid of any fucker. The timing on some of his tackles was brilliant, give this lad a run of games he will be our best defender by far.

Lov, love, love him
Far from the finished article but he’s a dead eyed killer
They tried his pace a few times over the top and he shocked them by winning it every time
And also happy to leave a bit on them, which our choirboys have lacked in recent years
One thing that stood out in the second half was how often he intelligently dropped inside to cover his CBs if they were doubled
He is a proper defender who smells danger

He's a centre back playing right back. Imagine another Van Dijk or our own Ruben Dias playing right back.

He has been outstanding almost every time he has played for us. He is just incredible, getting better, and will continue to do so. I think he is our best defender in terms of actual defending, and the fastest one as well. Once he develops his technique, he can become one of the best defenders in the world, easily.

Technically limited ? Fuck me he's not Mangala, does the right thing, nice easy passes, very impressive today.

He was very good but he has a long way to go. Passing not great at times and can be a bit rash giving away daft free kicks. Pep will sort him hopefully. His pace is frightening though.

The opposite of a Rolls Royce of a player for me.

It looks an effort, none comfortable at times and a bit more chaotic.

But boy is he an asset.

Maybe with Stones next to him for ball carrying, it might help but he gets into our best back 4 as things stand and be quite a long way.

Definite got a cult fan status type player feel.
