Great experience for him tonight and didn’t he do well? Even the red will be a useful lesson - specially as it rules him out of the return game.

Played well, that assist was brilliant and should have had another when Sterling missed a sitter.

I like that he has a bit of the devil (not in the Stratford sense) about him. There were a few occasions where he was quite cute and tough in the tackle, along with sublime balance and awareness. I think he might turn out to be quite good.

Sending off makes the story even more about him tonight too, which is great.

His first yellow tonight was a poor decision by the ref who had a terrible game. His second yellow was due to Ederson poor pass., however at 5-1 up he didn’t need to make that challenge. He will have learnt a lot tonight. I thought he had a great game
