Its his energy and willingness to take it upon himself to be the one to make something happen is the most exciting thing about him. All too often we settle into a rhythm of keeping the ball ticking over nicely playing easy balls at a ponderous pace just waiting for somebody else to do something. Foden picks it up and he wants to do something and do it quickly. There was a pass not long after he came out where we were playing it side to side just running the clock down, it’s rolled into Foden who arrows a first time pass (arguably slightly too quickly)through the line into Bernardo’s feet who does superbly to control it before following his pass and peeling off a defender for a return ball. It lead to nothing but it just sums him up perfectly, the speed of thought and ability to play that pass was fantastic. it was so quick the camera almost lost track of the ball. I just hope it’s not lost as he matures and establishes himself as a key player in the side rather than being the youthful kid
