He is physically more able to dominate after the long break. He looks like a man, not a boy like when he first got minutes. He just looks so much more confident and assured, in his game and in his body. He is going to be incredible.

Yeah this seems to be the biggest thing. Looks to have really physically developed in the last 3-6 months. He'll be fully ready by the start of the next season.

We are a better side with him on the pitch. Better balance and more attacking threat. His workrate is phenomenal. Pep must see this too. Silva is clearly one of our greatest, but he trots around in the no.10 role now and can't press or track back like Foden. On the ball his passing is still class but he doesn't drive at the opposition like Foden either. The changing of the guard.

If you watched the last half a dozen games he has played in including the LC final, and you didn't know his age or background, you would have him down as one of our top 2 players. He is the real deal.

He now fully deserves his place in the side. I think we all wanted him to break through because he is a local lad but that alone shouldn't get you into a team this good. However he is now showing that he is actually playing better than both Silvas and the side looks much improved with him in it. I think a midfield trio of Gundogan at 6 and Foden and KDB at 8 is currently the best midfield we can put out.

if Foden progresses to become a starter next season, or, say, at least 25 league starts, then will people that heavily criticized Pep's approach to his development relent?

not saying that will happen, but if it does then I believe Pep deserves credit for how he has handled him

It feels to me that this will be the case. I truly hope so as there is something soecial about the player and the feeling, for me, when he does something on the pitch is unlike that for the other players.

He will win the young player of the year next season and go to the Euros as a starter for England.
