Pep needs to show a bit more faith in him to help build his confidence imo. I sent keen on Peps comments about Phil needing to be more vocal in training. Personally I don’t think he’s quite ready to start but coming on regularly especially when we’re 2 or 3 up should help bring him on further.

I think this is Foden last season, of learning from his master that is Silva. As the season goes on i can see Foden getting more game time so that he is ready to take over from Silva next season.

Personally I’d start him in the week with De Bruyne alongside him and Rodri behind them.

Wednesday was always the game for Foden. We shouldn’t need to be thinking we needed him today, the best midfielder in the world should have played, not Foden ahead of Gundo!
