Unfortunately, both Gascoigne and I probably sit at home scratching our bollocks looking at an empty mantle piece where both of our Ballon D’ors could have been.

Gascoigne was a poorly behaved, uncontrollable, alcoholic, playboy. Phil is hard-working young man who is obsessed with football, with much more understanding and help with mental health issues (which may have helped Gazza a lot).

Foden could have half the talent and he'd still have twice the career of Gazza.
