I've seen nothing to suggest, other than a brief cameo against Newcastle this season, that McAtee could be the answer, he looks good against inferior opposition, but nothing more, I'd love him to be the answer, but I don't see it, that said Phil is way off it and we need to change things up, maybe Doku central with Marmoush, behind big Erl or something? I don't know, I'm not a World Class manager, Pep is and I hope he'll patch us up enough to get top 4 this season.
We don't need to look for the answer we can just look at what we've got and see who is a better option than current foden and the answer to that is quite literally anybody. There's mcatee, we could have put kovacic in instead, Nunes can play there or if not there on the wing and one of doku/savinho moves inwards there's other options and there's no justifying fodens place right now.

Another season like this one and his value will plummet. He's hung on to De Bruyne’s coattails almost every season. As De Bruyne’s performance has declined, Foden’s inability to 'get hold' of or change a match has been exposed.

He's only as good as the players around him. He's not become the inspirational player many thought he would or could be. In reality, he's just another good player with a few tricks.

He's homegrown, so he gets an easy ride at City from fans and, I suspect, the coaching staff. It's too easy for him to become complacent.
Well let’s see if he has another season like this one instead of selling him to cash in and then regretting it every second.

As I said, McAtee has done nothing, barcodes aside, to warrant a starting place in a big match, Nunes is lightweight and seems to be lacking in confidence and direction, as for Kova, I just don't see it, but who knows? If I did I wouldn't have worked nights last night and would be living in a villa somewhere and not a pretty average house in South Manchester.

can’t take over any game on his own. Does the same shit he does for the national team. I guess it‘s Pep fault now huh? I mean Southgate was the reason why Bellingham, Saka and Palmer excelled why he did nothing.

Players come, players go. Whether they're great or bad, bought in or homegrown, fans soon get over it.

It's only millionaires kicking balls. I don't regret anyone leaving.
Wow, you've gone from comparing Foden to Rashford to sPorTsBaLl comments...

Can’t remember such a stark contrast in performances between seasons, Christ knows what’s going on but fingers crossed he’s back next season.

Seen a comment earlier this evening (can't remember if it was on here or on social media), that he's been our Rashford this season. And I can empathise with the comment. Yes, he's been "ill". But even now he's back, he looks somewhat "couldn't care less". Has he started to buy into the hype he attracted last season?
