All of our half-chances in the first half came off his foot.

When he went to the right in the second half, he was playing well and causing their LB issues, Pep immediately took him off.

As I mentioned earlier, he's had a disappointing season, but Pep's decision to take him off today, ahead of players like Haaland or KDB, was bizarre, and Phil has every right to be upset about it.

Pep wanted to look at them, probably hoping he saw some signs of the Foden of last season. Sadly not.

Torres was always going to decline the moment he lost his acceleration. It's much harder with Foden to figure out where it's gone wrong so suddenly. He was genuinely exceptional last season. Something is amiss, this isn't just a prolonged period of poor form.

Most forum members have presented him as a generational talent until this season. He simply is not, that can be said for Yamal, Neymar, Wirtz, Bellingham, etc but not for Foden.

The sooner we lower our expectations of him, the happier we will be.

If I was you, I wouldn’t put generational talent and Bellingham in the same paragraph. Not if you want your head feeling;)

I can’t say I have seen him play very much except for Germany. Yamal, yes. Now he is talented.

To be fair to Wirtz, to do what he did last year with Leverkusen and win their first ever league title and go invincible whilst being instrumental at 20 years old was unbelievable. Also getting to the Europa League final

Foden - as much as I love him - I don't think could have done that to a team like Leverkusen at 20 years old.
