Foden will be our main man. Hes faster than Cherki, knits the play together, is better on the half turn and does not give the ball away. He will compliment both Cherki and Doku brilliantly and open the space in front of them so they can do their thing.
They can dovetail each other. No one has to be shifted out wide.

He's fully evolved into the Silva regen at this point, glad that we've brought someone like Cherki into the team so Phil can play the role he's playing now.

He almost scored and opened the scoring, but instead provided an assist for O'Reilly. He was magnificent off the ball, working incredibly hard, especially defensively and supporting O'Reilly on the left flank.

He combined very well with Cherki.

I think he's going to have a lot of stats this season. He won't have to shoulder the entire creative burden alone anymore; Cherki will be there to share that responsibility with him, absorbing more players and creating much more space for him. With time and playing together, they could produce some truly beautiful performances.

The Foden-Cherki duo should take inspiration from the Xavi-Iniesta partnership (in a similar way). In any case, it's very promising.

I would agree, if Rodders was 100% fit ?
But, I think Liverpool would target Rodri, so think it would be a tough match to restart his season.
If Rodri is 109% give him a start against Dortmund, to see how he performs...
