Nothing brilliant but much more like it from him, solid performance and made us better. With Cherki falling off a cliff since Arsenal, i'd throw him in against Palace and see how much he wants it. Final place up for grabs if he delivers.

It was weird to see him partner Bernie as the 8, but he is so incredibly suited to the role.

Our 4321 system early in the season had him doing this as well.

I really hope Pep reconsider Foden role and doesnt only see it as him or whoever else plays the 10/SS role (Cherki, Marmoush, Semenyo or Reijnders).

Foden can be the midfield guy.

Got a couple of good early touches and his confidence grew.
The crowd applauding him every time he came to take a corner showed him how much we care about him.
Was much more progressive with the ball.
Nothing special but definitely a big improvement on where he was it.

Quite sure he’d have been on the end of one of Doku’s cutbacks had he been on in the first half. He has a nose for goal and just needs confidence. A goal is in the offing.
