The second assist was better,the merest touch, bringing that ball down from the air

As a father of three I suspect the uncertainty regarding his future (will he need to relocate his settled family) has played heavily on his mind. You can see dramatic effect in his entire being after that was locked down. Great news.

Last night shows why many have been frustrated with him this season. We all know he's capable of regular performances like that. But for whatever reason (psychological? Physical?), he has barely produced in the last two seasons. It'd be great if we got the PWF of three years ago back.

Funny the narrative in the media and some of our own fans about Foden! A supposed poor bad season and he has contributed more than a lot of other England players!

Brilliant first assist and a very good performance. The ball to Josko for his header was excellent too.

Can see him starting in the final instead of Semenyo, with Cherki playing on the right. Semenyo played 90 minutes and might not be fresh enough anyway.

The one thing he deserves a lot of credit for and it's probably gone a touch unnoticed as it's an unrecognised skill a lot of the time, is the urgency he plays with in certain situations.

He's a player who feels when the game and the crowd is flat. I've noticed it the last few weeks where he's picked the tempo up when we need a goal.

Need him like this next season, need him to be hungry.
