Read somewhere that Maresca coming in is bad news for him.
Anyone knwo why?
Anyone knwo why?
Probably a train of thought that Pep was protecting him for the last few years. Maresca doesn’t have any loyalty to him.Read somewhere that Maresca coming in is bad news for him.

Had a good cameo, then a great game vs Palace. Then 0 minutes in the final and benched again tonight. Wasn't great, wasn't awful when he came on but what do we expect when there's no rhythm?
Exactly. That's the reality of the situation.Anybodys who's ever played the game would totally understand every word of your post.Had a good cameo, then a great game vs Palace. Foden has won 20 titles at Manchester City Football club.Think we've seen the best of him.
Doesn't look like he will ever get back to PoTY Foden.
Shame. But if we as a club want to get back to winning the league and CL we can't afford passengers.
Strong rumours hes not made the WC squad! Beneficial I hope.
Love how you've singled my post out when you could have chosen from another of over 100 other "negative" posts.Foden has won 20 titles at Manchester City Football club.
Same as John Stones and Bernardo Silva.
Foden is halfway through his professional career.
Pep has stated Foden will return to his best form and the club will wait...
Foden is a Blue. Two footed and lethal ,when on form,in front of goal.
Foden has sublime football skills.
Why would anyone bounce onto BM to denounce this great player.....on the back of an average performance from the bench away at Bournemouth?.
Take a good long look at the bigger picture.....Foden is one of the greatest Midfield players ever to play football for City, and we should look to keep him,and support him ,anyway we can.imo
When great Blue players breakdown, through injury or whatever reason..Colin Bell and Paul Lake for example, it's important to look at the support given by the employer club.
Can we help bring this player back to his best ,or get rid because his form has dipped?
Look how City kept playing Bell after his injury,we kept trying with Lake..it was so sad.but those players had so much credit in the bank, they earned the support of the club.
Foden gets battered every time he plays, refs do not protect him.....let's hope the club continue to show full support for one of the greatest players I've ever had the privilege to watch play Football.
None of us know the real reason behind his dip in form, but the very fact Pep kept him around the squad tells you something. The greatest manager in the world....has faith in Foden.
Some of our supporters do not.
How sad.
Keep going Phil, there are real football fans across the globe who marvel at your skills,....The back heeled finish away at Wolves, with your ' weaker' right foot..is a standout memory.Pure class.
Look forward to more....and I don't see you as a passenger,....far from it.
Tbf.. I was in a rush, read your post, and instantly responded.Love how you've singled my post out when you could have chosen from another of over 100 other "negative" posts.
Only time will tell if he will get back to the top.
I'll still stick by that he's been poor now for 1 and a half seasons. And when he's been on the pitch he's been miles away from the player of the year Phil.
Yeah I agree.I think he'll benefit from a new manager coming in. Pep and Foden obviously had a great relationship but 10 years into his professional career maybe just getting new ideas from a new manager might freshen things up for him.
Maresca knows him, knows how good he is, probably won't ask him to do too much different, but it'll feel new coming from someone else.
Part of Phil's problem is that he's never grown up either physically or as a person. He's 26 in a few days time but has the physique of a 15 year old youth team player. In the way the game has evolved he's just too lightweight. I fail to understand why he was never given a programme to help him bulk up though perhaps we thought given his early success he wouldn't have to. Judging by his choice of attire at the recent leaving party he dresses like a 15 year old also
