I don’t know, Phil has pretty much never played well for England and he lost his place at city for the back half of this year.

I’m not surprised really, though it could have been palmer just as easily. I guess palmer getting minutes was the difference

You need to take the blinkers off; he hasn't done anywhere near enough throughout the season to justify a place in the squad. He should get himself off to a nice, warm sunny beach somewhere (Rhyl?), chill out, recharge the batteries and report back for pre season training, raring to go.
