The most goals in a season in the top division was in 1931 when Aston Villa scored 128.

We are outstripping that at moment. Villa got that haul in a 42 game season. Our current average per game would see us getting 130 after 38 games.

Won't happen but nice to dream eh?

As OP says, beating the PL record is totally realistic..

You can't compare the Villa record as it was a 42 game season,the only comparable record is the Chelsea one,which with our start is reachable and beatable.
