i seem to remember twatini saying that if a team wins the champions league but finish outside the qualifying places in their respective league,then uefa will make it possible for that team to defend the trophy.
all teams that have rightly qualified,will enter the competition as normal.

No this is wrong. Max of 4 teams per country and champions always defend trophy so 4th might not qualify
There is no way, zero that the spuds will win the CL. I would stake my house on that without blinking once. Chelsea neither come on. Id be more worried about a spaceship landing in the middle of Manchester and aliens coming out with ray guns.

Just watched bloom moon rising for the umpteenth time.

England gets 4 spots in the CL. Normally those 4 spots are allotted to the teams who place 1-4 that in the league the previous season. Coz then, England would have 3 spots plus an automatic spot for the CL winner. However if a team from another country wins the CL, then England just has its 4 regular spots.

simpler: this rule will only affect us if spuds or chelski win since they are outside (currently) of the top 4. if rags or arse win (assuming they finish top 4), then the four clubs that will advance will be the top 4 still

I am sure everyone has all ready relised what will happen in typical City fashion.
We will come fourth and that will have been a great acheivement in its self, but the final of the CL will be between spurs and chelsea whoever came fifth will win the final and anyone who have supported city longer then 10 minutes will just say after the 90mins is over and the team who came third have missed 8 penalties and lost to 7 men will just crack a slight smile and say typical.

I want 3rd anyway. Be a typical City to get 4th but not get the qaulifying draw Spurs got. Knowing typical City we would have 2 qaulifying games to get through, somehow being Inter Milan then Barcelona and then if we somehow manage to get through Platini would throw in a best of 5 competition at us and we would have to beat Real madrid :)-
