With all this talk of us being in for a 4th striker, would it be worth giving swp a go?
He has pace, acceleration, can dribble, low centre of gravity, and can shoot.
Defenders would hate playing against him i think.

worth a go?

Pending on whether the Bellamy situation can be rectified?

We have a lot of very versitlie players that can play as wingers (Johnson, Milner, Silva, Aguero, SWP etc) - so you can shuffle the pack for the likes of Balotelli / Aguero / Bellamy (if included in the 25) to lead up top.

I'm not sure if we signed another forward if you could keep them all happy.

Do you need another one?

If I remember correctly he played 2nd striker for abit under Kegan?

Newcatle Away he played as the main Striker when anelka went off with 40 mins left and scored two.

He played right wing back, right back and wing back, left wing and centre Mid under Keegan, but started as a striker under Royle.

He can play anywhere.

I think not Stavros, I've always thought the world of the little fella - he's got something special about him and he's having a great pre-season but that doesn't make him good enough to lead the line at a club of our current stature and ambition . . especially given his age.

Emotionally = yes. In reality = a huge no.

1) Ade will never kick another ball for us
2) Bellamy burnt his bridges, will leave (seems clubs are interested)
3) Tevez wants to leave
4) Leaves us Dzeko (not yet proven in prem) Balo (say no more) Aguero
5) If come 31st August we haven't sold Tevez no need for fourth striker because position will be covered until January.
6) Club need to set a deadline a week or so before Transfer Deadline day so in the eventuality Tevez leaves we have time to get a fourth striker if need be.
7) SWP could stand in as he did yesterday but look at the opposition it wasn't prem league standard.
8) With CL games it will be easy to play all four strikers in rotation eg. CL Dzeko & Tevez, PL Aguero & Balotelli keeping all players fresh.
9) If you only have three and then lose a player to injury you are down to two IMO too risky.
10) This will be almost a seventy game season if we are to compete properly in all competitions, In August that is fine but post Christmas you need to rely on squad and the squad depth has to be strong enough throughout. IMO four is the minimum. (Oh and those 4 should be all top quality)
11) Up to Bert to man manage the players and keep them happy it is what he is paid to do.

Well no not really as he has been dog shit for 2 seasons and 1 decent pre season dont make him good again

I think we should just keep SWP in general. big mistake to let him go. seams motivated and he can be a top player when he is playing like this. Mancini needs to find a way to get him some more time this season, he will clearly respond to it.

Also think he is a team player with a great attitude and it rubs off on the rest of the squad.

Guidetti is our 4th striker if tevez goes. We don't need 4 world class strikers. 3 top class players and one youngster is a good balance.

I would give Guidetti the chance as 4th striker. The kids are never going to progress if they aren't thrown into the deep end. It's about time Weiss and Guidetti were given a chance to show what they can do.

was going to say the same thing.

If Tevez will leave ( but i doubt we'll find a team willing to spend all the money we are asking), Lavezzi will be his replacement.
