My boy is too young but it's very very sad that when he's a bit older I'll be telling him we can't go to matches like this because it's too dangerous.

I wouldn't worry about it. I'm taking both my kids (they are probably older then your lad) and looking forward to it. Every derby match there seems to be a thread like this.

if they put at 12:45 the usual time for derbies everyone would whinging about havin to get to london so early i've always found if don't go looking for it your ok but i've had couple of close calls

For me personally 5.15 is perfect.Leave here 7am,in hotel bar 11.am,good afternoon drinks with mates,beat the rags then pub crawl back to hotel.
I do appreciate not everyone can either afford to book hotels or get the night away etc but personally it suits.

Were doing the same as you, were struggling to hire a 17 seater mini bus, gonna try and hire a 15 seater today, with two lads missing out. If not it's a convoy of cars going down.

Potential problems would be if the game goes to extra time and penalties. Say that finishes at about 8ish, then it gives fans only an hour to get to euston for the last train home.
