Bollocks. I had 2 pints in the Old Original near Delph last night. I told the landlord it was as good a pint as anywhere I've drank it in Spain.Estrella out of the pump is rank. It’s not a patch on the beer in Spain which isn’t as gassy and darker.

I thought that about Guinness. I had a pint in Dublin many moons ago and it was creamy, less gassy, silky. I thought the bastards were keeping the best stuff for themselves!

Holts Bitter. (The proper stuff out of a handpump, not the ersatz piss.)
Harvey's Sussex Bitter. (You won't find it up here, but it's bloody good.)
Adnams' Bitter. (Best in Suffolk/Norfolk. Often not at its best up here.)
Woodforde's Wherry Bitter
Thwaites' Dark Mild. (Which is called something else these days and very hard to find. Best bet the Grey Horse over the Grain between Haslingden and Blackburn.)
